"Jayhawks"

The following photos and patch were provided by Bob Bittinger, who was the unit
CO, from March to December, 1967, when the unit was located at Bear Cat, RVN.
One of the photos includes Charleton Heston, the actor, who was the guest of Major
Bittinger for a 5 day period. The 9th Avn Bn provided support to the 9th Inf Div. 
Major Bittinger was involved in the transportation of the majority of the aircraft
assigned to the 9th Division, aboard the USNS Breton, which departed Almeda,
California on 1 January 1967. He was the unit maintenance officer at that time.
